Aboriginal and Environment Projects
Aboriginal Liaison for Major Hydro Projects
In 2002, Manitoba Hydro contracted Eagle Vision Resources to assist in future hydroelectric developments. Our main function is to act as a liaison for Manitoba Hydro and various aboriginal communities in Manitoba, as well as providing support to the Licensing and Environmental Assessment Division for Transmission.
Environmental Monitoring
Eagle Vision applied various services to Manitoba Hydro including Environmental Monitoring, inspecting and reporting on the Rosser/Silver and Wuskwatim 230kV transmission projects, as well as environmental inspecting and reporting for the St. Leon Wind Farm. We were also involved in the Environmental Impact Assessment for the Husky pipeline in western Manitoba, the development of a Generic Environmental Protection Plan for construction, operation and maintenance of transmission lines, and the development of an environmental protection plan for salvaging the Namew Lake transmission line in Northern Manitoba.
